Mini Workshops Are Back!

MVQC Mini Workshop Schedule

Thanks to all of you who responded to the call for teachers and students for the mini workshops. Business has really picked up! 

We've had some great workshops.  Below is the list of remaining workshops for the year.  Remember, Clinton mini's are at the Kirkland Library on Fridays from 1- 3 and Rome minis are at Stash Away Quilt Shoppe on Saturdays from 9-11.

WORKSHOP SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES:

  This scholarship is developed exclusively for the MVQC, Inc. membership.

Our mission statement says that the club will offer educational opportunities to the membership.  The guild offers quilt workshops and programs for the education of the members.  In addition, the guild will provide the fee or partial fee for workshops offered by the guild, to guild members who are unable to afford the workshop fee and who apply for and are selected by the scholarship committee made up of the President, Program Chair and the Treasurer. 

Application and selection procedure:

1.  Must apply to the Program Chair by the sign-up deadline for the workshop.

2.  Must have been a member in good standing for one year.

3.  Must have attended 75% of guild meetings.

4.  A member can receive only 1 scholarship per year. 

The scholarship is for the class fee only and recipient must be able to provide and/or pay for required supplies, instructor fees in class, if any, handouts or books required by the teacher.  Scholarship applications are confidential, and shared only with the committee.  The guild will budget $200 for scholarships each year.  When the amount is expended, no more applications will be entertained.  Contact the Program Chair to apply for a scholarship.
